Privacy policy
onPurpose is a personal time-intention tracker. It stores the least it can and never sells or shares your data.
What we store
- Account. The opaque Sign in with Apple identifier, and the email address Apple gives us if you choose to share it. Hide My Email relay addresses work fine.
- Your activities and sessions. The intentions you create and the start, end and pause times of the sessions you run.
- Health data you allow. Read-only sleep analysis and workout samples, used to show sleep and workout totals on your dashboard and to end a timer you forgot about. We store the sample's start, end, duration, workout type and its HealthKit identifier. We never write to Health.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no analytics SDKs, no marketing use of any data — health data least of all.
- No Screen Time or Family Controls data. onPurpose has no visibility into your app usage.
- No selling or sharing with third parties. No location tracking.
- No session notes or free-text journalling to leak.
Where it lives
Data is transmitted over TLS and stored encrypted at rest in a Postgres database operated by the developer. Access tokens are short-lived; the long-lived refresh token stays in the device Keychain and only its hash is stored on the server.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and every row associated with it from the You tab in the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible, and it also revokes onPurpose's Sign in with Apple authorization. You can email support@kicesanders.com if you would rather we do it for you.
Children
onPurpose is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the app will tell you before the change takes effect.
